Cirque du Soleil fly high with Toruk

11:00:00 PM

I love watching circus on TV and on Youtube but I've never seen a single show live because it can be pricey. Then weeks ago, I got an email inviting me and a plus one to watch the Asian Premiere of Cirque Du Soleil's Toruk: The First Flight which was inspired by James Cameron's award winning movie, Avatar, and of course, I immediately confirmed my attendance.

The event was held at Mall Of Asia Arena and the show runs from June 23 to July 2, 2017 so I suggest you buy your tickets online now at SM Tickets' Website

I brought my daughter with me and we were seated at the Lower Box area which is where the best seats are located. While waiting for the show to start, we were advised to download the Toruk: The First Flight Application on your smart phone to be part of the show (Itunes or Google Play). I won't spoil anything about the application because it's best that you discover everything during the show. Kudos to whoever had the idea of creating the app! Make sure you bring a power bank because it will surely drain your battery fast.

Once the show starts, it's best to avoid taking photos with a flash because it can be distracting to the audience and most especially to the performers.

My daughter was a bit scared at first because of the darkness as well as the voice overs that were kind of creepy but as the characters started to flip and do acrobats, she was on her feet and enjoying the show. Here are some of the photos I would love to share to you:

Me and my daughter enjoyed watching Cirque Du Soleil live with all the breathtaking stunts (take note, they weren't wearing any harnesses while hanging on those ropes), beautiful costumes, amazing backdrops which were projected on a surface of approximately more than 5 IMAX screens combined, lighting, music and of course, the flow of the story that can catch the attention of both adults and children.

Cirque Du Soleil's Toruk: The First Flight is indeed a must see show that you shouldn't miss! So go grab your tickets for the last day tomorrow and experience a show that is beyond amazing.
