Play Kitchen Catch-Up with Your Kids!

4:02:00 PM

Kitchen time is a good option for kids and parents to bond together! Including kids in the kitchen can be made more fun with the help of Tupperware’s easy prep line. As kids join you in the kitchen to prepare meals, you make them feel like they are accomplishing something and, at the same time, develop their fine motor skills.

Enjoy quality time with your family as you prepare and eat your snacks and meals together! Here’s a simple recipe for potato nuggets that you and your kids will enjoy:

Ingredients:
2 tbsp. milk
salt
½ tsp. pepper
½ tsp. green onion, chopped
2 tbsp. ham, chopped
2 egg yolks, beaten
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
4 cups mashed potatoes
1 egg, beaten
dried bread crumbs, sifted
peanut oil (enough to fill a ½-inch pan)

Procedure:
1.    Add milk, salt, pepper, chopped green onion, chopped ham, beaten egg yolks and flour to mashed potatoes using the Jr. That’s A Bowl (not included in set)
2.    Chill and then shape using the Impress Me prep set
3.    Dip in flour and beaten egg, then roll through bread crumbs
4.    Fry each nugget in shallow oil in the Tupperchef Inspire Frypan (not included in set) until brown on all sides. Cook in small batches and give each nugget at least 2 inches of space around to avoid overcrowding the pan. This prevents the nuggets from crumbling while frying.

Seems easy enough! It’s important to spend time in the kitchen with your children, and with the coolest new prep set from Tupperware Brands, kitchen bonding with your kids is even easier.

The Tupperware Impress Me is a prep set that is intuitive and easy to use. Rolls and bars are formed from various doughs, making dishes like nuggets, chorizos, fish sticks, or even churros and other desserts! Each set includes 1 set Base with Plunger that is designed for easy filling and optimal performance when pushing out food, 1 pc. Guide Mat that slides forward with the food when pushed through the nozzles, making sure that the rolls remain in perfect condition, 3 pcs. of Nozzles that form and shape perfect bars or rolls, and 1 pc. Scraper to block the nozzles for optimal compression of food and doubles as a tool to cut and carry extruded rolls or bars.

Grab the opportunity to compliment and support your children while they’re in the kitchen with you, open the lines of communication while they’re young and strengthen this as the years roll by, and prepare and eat your meals together regularly. Getting your kids involved in the kitchen is a big step to getting them to appreciate family meals. With The Tupperware Impress Me, you can enjoy your time with your kids!

  14. I've never been a fan of tupperware. For our spicy Indian food with 3-4 varieties in each meal, tupperware doesn't withstand it all much...

  15. Thanks for the easy recipe! When I get back, I plan on doing more things with the kids that are my interest. Boy play/toys isn't quite my thing, so I don't play with them too aside from LEGOs and Play Doh.
