Our family's favorite Aji-Sinigang Mix is now available in cube form!

Ever since I was a kid, my mom's Sinigang has always been a family favorite. This savory soup is composed of the mixed flavors of tomato, taro, kangkong leaves, onion, radish, string beans and a bit of green chili plus the tender pork cuts will definitely make anyone fall in love and crave for more Sinigang. 

Unfortunately, there are times when mom is too busy with work that she is unable to cook for us and what's worse is some days, my parents leave the house for an early morning bazaar without any cooked meal left for me, my kids and my sister. Good thing, Ajinomoto came up with Aji-Sinigang Mix that me and my sister use to cook Sinigang without compromising its taste since we're not really great in cooking. We've been using it for years and it definitely taste like the real deal. 

What's even better is that Ajinomoto recently launched their newest product that everyone will surely love to use in making Sinigang. Introducing, the Aji-Sinigang Cube!


The new Ajinomoto - Sinigang Cube is what you will need to achieve the sour-savory (asim-linamnam) taste of Sinigang. It helps in providing the balanced rich savory deliciousness and appetizing sourness to our favorite Sinigang dish. Each Aji-Sinigang Cube is "Zoopsiksik" because it is packed with the right level of tamarind sourness and savory taste from meaty extracts.

Let me share to you a recipe from Ajinomoto on how to make an Asim-Linamnam Pork Sinigang:

Ingredients: (Makes 4-6 servings)

  • 2 pcs Aji-Sinigang Cube
  • 1/2 kilo Pork liempo, Sinigang Cut
  • 90 grams tomato, quartered
  • 30 grams onion, quartered
  • 1 1/2 liter water
  • 90 grams taro/gabi
  • 80 grams radish/labanos, sliced diagonally
  • 45 grams string beans, cut into 1 1/2 inches
  • 90 grams Kangkong leaves
  • 1 pc green chili
Procedure:

1. Boil pork in water for 40-50 minutes until tender.


2. Simmer. Add gabi and simmer for 6 minutes.


3. Season and Simmer. Add Aji-Sinigang Cubes and other vegetables. Simmer for 5 minutes until cooked.
