Kababayans worldwide can now pay bills easier thanks to Bayad Center Online

Back in the days, paying bills was through the agent that literally goes to every house just to secure each family's payment. Unfortunately, this was such a bad idea as cases of agents getting robbed had become rampant, well mainly because they are not well secured. But thanks to companies that are driven to create innovations, specifically the Meralco Company, Bayad Center was born.

Of course, everyone knows Bayad Center. It is our country's pioneer and leader in the Outsourced Payment Collection Industry which is a subsidiary of Meralco. They have made payment of bills easier and more convenient thanks to different options such as the traditional over-the-counter payment channels, Touch Pay Machine, Retail Machine and last November 30, 2016 I was able to attend the launch of Bayad Center's newest offering.

Thanks to Mr. Ralph and Ms. Michelle Huertas of Trendspotting Consultancy, I had the opportunity to learn first hand what Bayad Center Online is! Not only will it benefit Filipinos locally but most importantly, our beloved kababayans working abroad.

For us Filipinos who are here in the Philippines, Bayad Center Online is a convenient way of paying bills at the comfort of our home. No need to brave the heavy traffic going to the payment centers and no need to line up for hours.

But for Filipinos abroad, Bayad Center Online is a very helpful way for them to secure their money which are intended for bills payment because usually, their dilemma is that the money that are supposed to be used for bills payments are spent on other things.

Uriah C. Ventula, Mark B. Santiago, President & CEO Manny L. Tuason, COO & AVP Francispito P. Quevedo and Wendel P. Labre
During the event, Bayad Center CEO & President Manny L. Tuason and his team had a media conference where they were able to discuss to us the must-know facts about Bayad Center Online.

With regards to types of bills accepted, here is a list of companies that you can pay through Bayad Center Online:

As of the moment, Bayad Center Online only accepts Credit Cards, but soon, they will be accepting Debit Cards and Electronic Wallets such as GCash and Smart Money. Since payment is through credit card, Bayad Center will charge the customer with a merchant discount rate of 3.6% of the amount to be paid. A minimal system fee of P1.00 for local transaction and P20.00 for international transaction should be paid as well.

The good news is that, unlike other payment options, Bayad Center online payment postings are real time or within 24 hours depending on Bayad Center's direct partnership with each Biller Partner.

To access Bayad Center Online, visit their Local and International websites.

It was a such a very bold move for Bayad Center to launch an Online payment method that is still an unconventional way to pay bills but I'm pretty sure that soon enough, people will embrace this kind of practice. Kudos to the whole Bayad Center team and thank you very much for the invite! Looking forward to the launch of the Bayad Center online app soon!
