Get up close and personal with Taal Volcano at Club Balai Isabel

11:55:00 PM

Usually, when you want to get a view of the Taal Lake and Volcano, you choose to check in at Tagaytay City where you get an overview of this magnificent scenery. But what if I tell you that there's a one of a kind resort where you can have an up close and personal view of the Taal Volcano, plus you get to enjoy water sports at the Taal Lake?

Introducing, Club Balai Isabel, located at Banga, Talisay, Batangas. It used to be a 4 hectare private subdivision/ residential resort community but at present, it is continuously developed as a lakeside town resort that has been a popular tourist destination especially to those who want to be one with nature but still have the comfort of city living within their reach.

It is just a 15 minute ride from Tagaytay Ridge, right on the shore of the Taal Lake and across the Taal Volcano. Let me tell you why it is the next summer destination that you should visit soon:

You will definitely feel relaxed and recharged as you get to enjoy lush greenery that includes 6 varieties of mangoes, a dozen varieties of bamboo, hardwood trees, several varieties of macopa, cacao, mabolo, tiesa, chico, caimito, santol, duhat, pomelo, oranges, balimbing, langka, banana and papaya.

They have different types of comfortable accommodations in the resort where you can either choose to stay at their Hotels & Condotels or at their Villas & Cottages. The first time I was at Club Balai Isabel during our company's outing last 2012, we stayed at a Three Bedroom Villa:

The Three Bedroom Villa (which costs P14,784 Nett) has one bedroom at the lower level and two bedrooms at the upper level with 5 queen sized bed and one single bed. It has two bathrooms with toilet and hot and cold shower and one washroom, has a private balcony, exclusive garage, available cooking option, complete set of kitchen utensils, telephone, in-room locker, set of basic toiletries, flat screen TV and complimentary bottled water. It has a regular capacity of 7 with 4 allowable extra persons.

But during our stay last March 31 to April 1, 2017 (thanks to ms. Jinkee Umali) we stayed at one of their newest accommodations which is the Suite with Attic located at Balai Laurel just beside the Terraza Restaurant:

Suites with attic (which costs P13600 Nett) are located at the third floor so you'll have to climb a flight of stairs. Installation of elevators are discussed because these are needed for PWD and Senior visitors although I'm not sure if they will be placed in all hotels/condotels in the resort.

It can accommodate 8-12 persons with 5 queen sized beds at the attic and 1 sofa bed at the lower level. It has two bathrooms with hot and cold shower, private veranda, cooking option, complete set of kitchen utensils, telephone, in-room locker, set of basic toiletries, flat screen TV and complimentary bottled water.

Check out my Facebook Live Room Tour at our Suite with Attic.

Since Club Balai Isabel is a huge property, they have provided a lot of facilities and amenities that will make every visitor experience an awesome vacation.

2. Swimming Pools: Take a dip and beat the heat this summer at any or all of the three huge pools located right in front of Kumintang Cafe called the Kumintang Infinity Pool which is the largest of the three pools at 1,800sqm, in front of the Clubhouse called the Terraza Pool or at a more secluded area surrounded by greenery called the Talisay Garden Pool.

3. Water Sports Activities: Be adventurous and try their exciting water sports activities that will surely get your heart pumping hard and give you adrenaline rush. It was my first time to try the Banana Boat, Jetski and Kayak and I'm so happy that I conquered my fear of falling into the water in all three activities despite the fact that I am not a good swimmer (and I was wearing a life jacket haha). It was really an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend that you try it as well with your family and friends.

 4. Delectable Dishes: You can choose from 3 restaurants at Club Balai Isabel namely Terraza Cafe & Restaurant, Isabel's Panaderia & Pizzeria and Kumintang Cafe with the two latter restaurants still at soft launching.

Avail Breakfast (P380), Lunch (P600) and Dinner (P600) buffets at the Terraza Cafe and Restaurant. Enjoy a wide array of traditional Filipino cuisine and delicacies as well as fresh fruits and halo-halo. You can also order ala carte dishes if you are on a diet.

Wasn't able to try what Isabel's has to offer but I'll definitely order a freshly baked pizza the next time I visit Club Balai Isabel.

Kumintang Cafe is still not open for outsiders but guests who are checked in at the hotel can order drinks/meals at the newest restaurant in Club Balai Isabel. We were very lucky to be able to try out their specialties that I truly enjoyed devouring and made my tummy very happy, thanks to the talented, Chef Rick who cooked all the dishes that night.

They also serve different types of drinks may it be a sweet milkshake or an alcoholic beverage, you name it and they'll make it for you.

5. Engage in recreational activities: Get to play your favorite sport even at a resort because Club Balai Isabel has a basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton courts. They also have billiards, darts, bike for rent at affordable cost. But if you want a more challenging activity with and against your group, you can avail their Balikatan Obstacle Course. Kids can also enjoy at the resort's playground. Lastly, singers/non singers get to belt out some tunes at the Sampaguita Music Lounge.

6. Explore the whole resort and take instagram-worthy photos: Walk or ask a staff to tour you around the resort using an electronic cart. Have a friend come along with you and take photos of each other to capture the beauty of nature as you emote and pose for your OOTDs. That is what me and my co-mommy blogger friend, Ms. Louisa Mercado of Art Of Being A Mom did during our free time.

Check out my Facebook Lives as I tour the resort while walking and while riding the e-cart. I prefer walking because I get to stay and take photos at my own time but make sure to do this in the morning because it can be quite hot in the afternoon.

6. Buy fresh vegetables and other goodies at the Souvenir Shop: I was able to buy fresh lettuce for only P30.00. They are also selling freshly pressed guyabano and 5 kinds of berry mix in a bottle for P150.00. You should also check out their Himalayan Salt Lamp that "humidifies" air in a room.

7. Attend a mass: Visit the Spousal of Mary & Joseph Chapel found near the Kumintang Pool and attend the mass every Sunday at 9:00am. Offer a prayer of thanks to God for such a beautiful world He created for us.

8. Relax: Just lie down either at the pool side or at the comfort of your room/suite. This will definitely make you feel fresh and energized afterwards. You can also avail of their massage and body scrubs at affordable prices.

But if you really want to experience the best vacation possible and you have extra money for a luxurious getaway, you should rent a room at Lake Forest Mansion. Stay in one of their rooms for P14500.00/night which is really a bit pricey for an ordinary person like me, but check out how this accommodation look like:

There's just too many things to do at Club Balai Isabel which is why even though this was my second time to stay at the resort (first was company outing and second was the bloggers getaway), I still have a lot of activities that I would love to try especially now that they are continuously growing and improving. Hopefully I get to see Club Balai Isabel soon with my family so they to can enjoy and experience why this should be considered your next summer destination. I would also love to try their Taal Trekking Package where you get to cross the lake using a boat and explore the volcano while riding a horse.

Lastly, stay tuned for updates on their newest attraction, the Club Balai Isabel Aqua Park! I would also like to share their ongoing promo where you can avail a 30% discount on all hotel rooms from till May 30, 2017! For reservations and inquiries, you may call 7280307/09065185494 or visit their Website.
