Experience a different kind of Christmas at SM City Fairview

With just a few days to go before the much awaited Christmas Day, establishments have been building their astonishingly tall, well-lit and colorful Christmas trees for everyone to appreciate and even have a selfie with. I am also one of those people who anticipate these humongous displays especially at SM Fairview because it is where I always pass by to and from my workplace. Last year, I was also part of the media during their tree lighting ceremony and I am very excited to witness this year's reveal.

Last November 9, 2018, it was show time as SM City Fairview invited everyone to witness the lighting of their very unique take on a Christmas tree with the theme: Hometown Holiday. With the beautiful Binibing Pilipinas Grand International 2016, Nicole Cordoves, as the host of the event, it was indeed a spectacular show to be part of.

Also present at the event is SM Little Stars 2018 Grand Winner, Aleynah Redillas, who played as the little girl who has a magic snow globe that seems to teleport her to different towns whenever she shook it.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus also made an appearance that made the child in me feel giddy!

NU chorale and a group of acrobats also entertained the crowd although it was unfortunate that I wasn't able to capture their acts. But what really made the audience go wild was when the boy band, In Real Life, performed:

What better way to end an event with the presence of the lovable Pratts Family as they were tasked to ring the bell to signal the countdown for the lighting ceremony. A hint of cinnamon scent was also quite noticeable after the release of confetti and balloons which was very innovative.

It was definitely a fun event to attend to especially with the kids. SM really knows how to plan programs that cater to Filipino families. Their "Christmas tree" is extraordinary and creatively thought of and of course, instagram-worthy :p If you want to see this huge piece of art, head on the SM City Fairview's Atrium and you can also shop for toys, clothes and food which can be found around the hometown holiday centerpiece.

Comment down below your photos with the Christmas tree and share your fun experiences with me! Advance Merry Christmas y'all!! ❤❤❤
