Meranti Hotel

Max's Group Inc., the largest casual dining restaurant company in the Philippines, has recently ventured in the hotel industry for the first time as the Meranti Hotel opened its doors to the public last August 2015. Located at #82 Scout Castor St. Brgy. Laging Handa, Quezon City just beside their Max's Restaurant heritage branch, Meranti hotel is strategically built in the heart of QC's lifestyle district making it a great place for a family staycation.

Last Sunday, February 7, 2016, I was invited by Mr. Nikolai Mari to attend Meranti Hotel's bloggers night to let us have a sneak preview of what the hotel has to offer to all its guests.

Upon entering the hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by their guard on duty and their receptionists. You will also notice the sophisticated and elegant wooden crafts and furniture in the lobby that are designed by the well known Filipino designer, Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue. The meshed lamps and huge chandeliers were also eye catchers as you relax at the hotel lobby.

The hotel's cafe is also at the ground level just beside the lobby. They offer premium comfort food from Maple, a brand which is also under Max's Group Inc. They have an ample amount of dining tables and chairs that seems enough for hotel guests who'll be having their complimentary breakfast there. Unfortunately, the Meranti Cafe by Maple is exclusively for Meranti hotel guests only.

Next, we checked out their second floor where the Sala and Business Centre is located. Although they are still improving this area, it really looked glammed up already. Designed by Budji Royal, surely nothing will ever go wrong with the interiors.

Now off to the hotel rooms. Their Filipino modern inspired rooms will surely take your stress away the moment you enter it. We first headed to their Deluxe Room.

Their live European memory foam pocked spring bed topped with 400 tread counts Egyptian cotton will surely make anyone's staycation worthwhile.

The Deluxe Room has a mini sala with a Hospitality TV that allows you to connect to wifi, check your social media account, watch videos on youtube and local cable channels. What's great about the TV is that it also has a "concierge" of the whole city where in you can check out what to do and what places you can visit nearby. They are also planning to put an app where guests can check their running bill during their stay.

When asked what makes them unique compared to other hotels, they boast their "odor absorbing wall" which is made up of Plasticized Crushed Coral Paint that is strategically placed between the bed and the comfort room.

See that door just beside the odor absorbing wall? It is actually a door connecting the Deluxe Room to a Standard Room which is perfect for huge families wanting to have a great staycation.

I love spacious bathrooms and Meranti's is quite nice that guests will surely look forward to taking a shower in it. Plus, the packaging of their toiletries are really adorable!

Next, we checked out their Standard Room.

The Standarm Room's bed has the same features as that of the Deluxe Room, but this time, it is composed of twin sized beds. But if guests wants a queen size bed, they will happily rearrange the beds and put it together using a linen that is specially created to make the gaps between these two beds unnoticeable (I forgot what it was called, sorry).

What's different with the comfort room is that the sink is placed outside of the comfort room. But nonetheless, I still love how it looks and I am really in love with those toiletries. :)

Every room also has a mini bar and a safe.

Meranti Hotel has a total of 61 rooms composed of 1 Bedroom Suite, 4 Deluxe Rooms, 2 Connecting Rooms and 54 Standard Rooms all designed with high ceilings to create a great ambiance during the stay.

After seeing the rooms, we then headed to the 11th floor where the Meranti Penthouse is located.

The Meranti Penthouse offers a perfect view of the city skyline that is very breathtaking, especially during sunset. You can actually enjoy cocktails and drinks while relaxing on their lounge area.

Their pool is also located at the penthouse which makes the experience one of a kind as you swim and enjoy the view all at the same time.

They also have a spacious room at the penthouse that can be used for events, meetings and special occasions.

Dinner was then served to us, as Meranti Hotel sampled what to expect during their Valentine's Day promo, sumptuous meals and a great view of the city skyline while being serenaded by the Mutya Band.

We even met the Chef who created all these delicious food, Thanks Chef! :)

  4. The lobby looks very appealing though the bedrooms are a bit too ordinary. Do they offer a legit queen sized bed or they always just put the twin beds together? And is there a bathtub?

  6. Hi, good to know there is a new hotel in Quezon City. Sometimes I have friends asking and it is only in the last few years that there are newer hotels being built. Otherwise it has always been in Pasay and Manila and Makati.
