Jump your way to fitness at the Trampoline Park

9:39:00 PM

Whenever I hear the word "exercise" or "fitness", I always think of very tiring and non-enjoyable weights, long minutes on the treadmill, planking and all the other activities at the gym that you have to do in repetition which makes me feel bored and uninterested to visit them often. But what if I tell you that there is a place that I've discovered last month that would definitely change the way you feel when it comes to exercising and fitness?

Thanks to ms. Ia Hernandez of Fit Access PH, I was able to try out a one of a kind fitness park that has opened its doors to the public just last February 2016. I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about Trampoline Park but this is the first that I'll be able to visit and try their facilities.

Trampoline Park is located at The Portal, Mayflower St. Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City beside Starbucks which is just a 5-10 minute walk from EDSA Shaw Boulevard.

It is open daily with different classes/sessions to choose from:
  • Gravity DJ Beats - When the clock strikes 8pm, the lights dim, laser lights go on and the music volume is turned a notch higher. Enjoy jumping all over the trampoline park while listening to old school and hottest hits of this generation. DJ Beats is every Fridays and Saturdays from 8pm-10pm
  • Gravity Kidz - Park is transformed into a cushiony soft wonderland of trampolines filled with bounces, tumbles and giant seas of foam while listening to Disney classic songs. 2-5 year old kids should b accompanied by an adult.
  • Parkour Training - Infuse Philippines' first trampoline park with a variety of top grade Parkour equipment to create a suitable ground for those who would like to learn the basics of this art.
  • Body Pump and Aero Dance - Get fit and lose calories with an hour of either of these two high intensity dance classes that will help you burn fats while building, toning and defining your muscles.
  • Gravity Jump - core session that gives you access to all the facilities found inside the Trampoline Park. You get to enjoy playing at the Dodge Ball area, Basketball area and Foam Pit.

But prior to attending a session, you must first purchase a pair of Grip Socks which is the only socks allowed to be used inside the park. It costs P100.00 but you can use it every time you visit the Trampoline Park.

Then you will be asked to watch a video that will talk about the Safety Tips during your whole stay at the Trampoline Park. Make sure that you take note of the Dos and Don'ts when you are playing inside the park to keep yourself and the others around you safe and free from any harm/injury. You can also check out the Guidelines posted at the wall near the orientation area.

Lastly, you can leave your items at the locker area for a minimum payment of P20.00 and you're good to go.

During the time we visited the place, we tried their Aero Dance class:

I never thought it was gonna be very hard to dance on top of a trampoline. I tend to be out of balance maybe because it is my first time to try this activity and i'm pretty sure it is also because of my weight. It took a while before I was able to balance myself while I follow our instructor's steps and the next thing I know, I've been jumping all over the place. It was indeed an enjoyable experience and truly tiring that made me sweat buckets.

We also tried the other areas such as the Foam Pit which made my heart pump harder as I need to jump on a trampoline and try to land on a pit that contains 3,000 purple and yellow cube foam. After the first scary trial, I got myself jumping for the second and third time.

It was indeed an awesome experience and something that I would love to try out soon with family and friends. Again, I would like to thank Ms. Ia Hernandez of Fit Access PH for inviting me to join the Aero Dance session with other bloggers.
